Common Problems
Problem | Description | Solutions |
---|---|---|
3 Beeps When Plugged In | This usually indicates that the BIOS (SPI NOR) has become corrupt, usually due to loss of power during an update. If you do ultimately have a *very* corrupted NOR and need to flash a clean dump, you need to program the serial number for the console in. This doesn't apply to digital edition consoles though. They'll work with any serial number... |

3 Beeps After White Light | Happens because of a short on the LED flex ribbon. This usually happens when someone is careless enough to leave the ribbon hanging loose during reassembly. It's always good practice to check before full reassembly. The long screw threads through the ribbon and creates a short, though there are cases where it can happen from factory. |
