C00C0002 Error Code

C00C0002 is a pretty annoying error code. This error can be related to a number of different things. It usually means the console can't power on the APU (amongst other things) so it can be caused by any number of components. On this page, we'll go through some of the causes and fixes as we find them.

Fix 1: Shorted capacitor below APU

This was a strange one. A single 0201 capacitor lit up under the thermal camera for just a split second. It takes a sharp eye, but it can be found.

Symptoms: 1 second blue light then off

Cause: Drop damage, probably cracked the capacitor

Fix: Replace capacitor from donor board
